Conditions of Use

1. Copyright:

   NOTE: Course Workbooks = Senior Biology 1 & 2 Workbook titles

   1. The Course Workbooks, their Model Answer books, and the Modular Workbooks MAY NOT BE PHOTOCOPIED, duplicated, or put into any electronic medium, in part or whole, without the written permission of BIOZONE International Ltd. Absolutely no photocopying is permitted under any photocopy licensing scheme.
   2. The Modular Workbook Model Answers on CD-ROM includes a limited photocopying license.
2. Presentation Media:

   NOTE: Presentation Media = CD-ROM/DVD-ROM or download title

   BIOZONE retains copyright to the intellectual property included in the Presentation Media files, with acknowledgement that certain photos are used under license and are credited appropriately.

   
   You MAY:

   1. Use the Presentation Media files for presentations in your classrooms using a data projector, interactive whiteboard or overhead projector.
   2. Place the Presentation Media files on the school’s intranet (school computer network), but not in contradiction of clause 2 (g) below.
   3. Edit and customise the Presentation Media files by adding, deleting, and modifying information to better suit your needs. (All copyright notices must be retained on the files)
   4. Place the Presentation Media files on any computer within the school, including staff laptops.
   5. Print out the Presentation Media files in PowerPoint® or Keynote® “Handouts” mode for the express purpose of allowing students to make their own notes about the presentation.
   6. Use the Presentation Media files as part of a VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) or a CMS (Content Management System). Access must be restricted to students enrolled on the campus of the registered purchaser. Student access to a VLE or a CMS must be controlled by a user login and password protocol.

   You MAY NOT:

   7. Put the Presentation Media files on to the Internet or on a service that may be accessed off-site from the campus unless access to the service is protected by a user login and password protocol, and is restricted to students enrolled on the campus of the registered purchaser.
   8. Print the Presentation Media files on to paper to make your own worksheets for distribution to students.
   9. Create a NEW document using any of the graphics/images in the Presentation Media files.
   10. Incorporate any part of the Presentation Media files for the production of another commercial product.
   11. REMOVE any of the references to BIOZONE, the copyright notices, photo credits, or terms of use from the Presentation Media files.
3. Teacher Resource &
   IB Options CD-ROMs:
   1. The User License for these products expires on: 30 June 2012
      
      Upon expiration of the license, all use of the materials on the CD-ROMs(printed and/or via computer) must cease.
   2. The full site license applies to a single campus of the registered purchaser.
   3. The files MAY NOT be installed on a computer network (intranet or internet) for use at multiple work stations. Files may be installed on to staff computers (includes laptops), with access limited to teaching staff only.
   4. Copying any files on the Teacher Resource CD-ROM or IB Options CD-ROM to student laptop computers is expressly forbidden, unless a specific licensing agreement has been entered into with BIOZONE International.

   Teacher Resource CD-ROM:

   5. The following resources may be printed and photocopied for student and staff use within the limitations set by clauses (a) and (b) above.
      
      • Extra Activity Worksheets
      • Glossary worksheets
      • Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheets
      • Crossword Puzzles
   6. The Acrobat (PDF) files of the BIOZONE Course Workbooks and Model Answers are supplied in a non-printing format, for viewing purposes only. They may be used with a data projector, only in situations where each student in a class has been issued with a copy of the BIOZONE Course Workbooks.
   7. The Presentation Media free sample (Mutations) may only be printed on to acetate for the purpose of producing overhead transparencies.
4. Teacher's Handbook
   1. The Teacher's Handbook is supplied as an ancillary resource to be used solely in conjunction with Course Workbooks of the same title and edition. It is for staff use only.
